XATRO-TWOTWO
My development environment has evolved! Before I go into details, let me take a moment to thank my friends who provided my last environment long ago. Cody, Austin, Evan, and Logan helped me keep my dreams alive.
So I finally built my first desktop, and this is my first blog post from said machine. It is simply named XATRO-2, while XATRO-1 is the laptop my friends bought me roughly 5 years ago. XATRO-1 is still kicking, but the battery is non-existent and the hard drive is showing its age. Considering my laptop before XATRO-1 perished via hard drive failure, I decided to set up a replacement sooner rather than later.
As for the specs of XATRO-2, I started with the Intel Core i7-11700k and chose compatible parts from there. It has 32 GB of RAM, liquid cooling, and an imaginary graphics card. Luckily the CPU has integrated graphics so I can at least work and develop.
As for news on current projects, I have made a bit of progress with Spatial Dimension 4, but I’ve been holding back a bit because of the transfer. I was considering a joke about starting a new project and putting SD4 on the backburner with MQII, so I guess here it goes!
I’ve started a new project titled Foxtrot! It’s a 2D platformer where you play as a little fox and brark at things. Yes, this project is real, but it’s still part of Spatial Dimension 4. There will be a segment while visiting the alien city where you can play an arcade game developed by an alien who took the 4D tour. I’m also working on a Player’s Manual for Foxtrot which will be posted on the Spatial Dimension 4 page. With my new workstation, I’m hoping to kick off the new year with faster and improved development!
